A SABBATH PRAYER

          In the beginning, the elohim created skies and earth.

          Welcome back.  For my Jewish and Adventist friends who keep the Sabbath, this prayer is for you and the rest of us.

          May the LORD bless you.  May the LORD keep you, protect you, and save you.  May rest and peace grace the day and your life.  

          Should you find yourself working, may the LORD'S providence allow restful moments you can seize upon for Sabbath reflection.

           Whatever your faith tradition--Muslim, Hindu, Shinto, Tau--whatever: may your day be one of healing and rest.

          God bless us every one.
