A SABBATH PRAYER

It is the time when Jesus celebrated the Sabbath.  What did that mean to him? 

One word:  rest.

So may the Lord grant you rest that renews your life, your mind, your body, and your energy to work.

May the Lord’s love transform you into one who loves.

May you know divine wisdom and infinite grace.

May God give you children who love you a lifetime.

May God give you others who love you unto death.

May your love for your children bless them.

May the joy of loving others bless strangers.

May the Lord bless you and keep you during evil days.

May the Lord inspire thanksgiving during happy days.

May you know the Lord. God’s kindness endures forever.

Bless the Lord for God is good. 

Neither peril nor idolatry can banish you from God’s love.

Bless the Lord forever.
